A rechargeable puff is a pre-filled e-cigarette with a built-in battery that you recharge, usually over USB-C. The battery no longer gives out before the liquid does: you get to use all of the e-liquid, right to the last puff. Depending on the model, the stated capacity ranges from around 10,000 to 100,000 puffs. These big puffs replace the old single-use puffs and come from brands such as JNR, Fighter Fuel, Lost Vape, Dinner Lady and Fruizee.

How to choose your rechargeable puff

Capacity: the stated puff count is the first thing to look at. A Tornado 10K or a Tesla Bar 10K is enough to try the format, while a Stellarc 50K lasts far longer. Most models come with two or three 10 ml bottles of nicotine salts to fill the cartridge. After that, our JNR 10ml, Elfliq 10ml and Unicorn 10ml e-liquids take over.

Single or dual: the ZPulse 42K has a dual 10 ml tank so you can switch from one flavour to another, and the Dinner Lady Duo Kit 35K runs on two cartridges. On the coil side, the ZPulse and the JPuff 47K use a 0.6 Ω dual mesh, the Duo Kit a 0.8 Ω mesh with a tight draw.

Screen or indicator light: the JPuff 47K shows the battery level on a screen, the Fruizee Primal 30K shows it with an LED light, and the JoinOne 40K adds a TFT screen and three power modes.

Rechargeable puff or pod kit?

Both have their place. The rechargeable puff is the simplest option: everything is ready, with nothing to assemble or adjust.
